The Rosa Luxemburg Foundation traces its roots to the Association for Social Analysis and Political Education, founded in Berlin in 1990.
Since then, it has grown into a dynamic institution for political education, a space for critical debate, and a research hub for progressive social transformation.
As an organisation affiliated with Die Linke, the German left party, we promote democratic participation, social justice, and solidarity.
The Foundation works globally through regional offices, each engaging with partners to challenge power structures and support emancipatory alternatives.
The West Africa Office, based in Dakar, works with social movements, researchers and grassroots initiatives across the region.
